Student Eligibility

  • The student must maintain a 2.5-grade point average or higher
  • The student must maintain a "C" or better grade in the CHS course
  • The student must be an 11th or 12th grader*

*Exceptions can be granted on an individual basis with permission from district and college

The Process

  1. Visit you counselor to get the enrollment form.
  2. Complete the form with your parents, have them sign the form and return to your counselor.
  3. After the form is complete and returned visit the Westmoreland County Community College website to complete the general application (you may need to click "Register Now" if you do not have log-in credentials. Once your form is returned and your online application is complete, then a bill for the credits will be sent to you by WCCC.
  4. Your child will be enrolled in a college course while taking it during the regularly scheduled school day with IASD instructors.
  5. At the end of the IASD (CHS) course, the grade earned by the student will be reflected on both their IASD report card and the Westmoreland County Community College transcript.
