November - National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Month November is National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Month and IASD will be participating in a variety of efforts to support those in need. Junior High School Vocal Ensemble performs Altoona Curve game On Wednesday, September 6, the Indiana Area Junior High School Vocal Ensemble performed the national anthem at an Altoona Curve game as part of the pregame activities. The 35 seventh and eighth grade students who participated gathered around home plate at Peoples Natural Gas Field to start the game. They were directed by Dr. Jason Rummel and cheered on by their friends and family. Mr. Robert Heinrich, superintendent, and Dr. Michael Minnick, principal, were also in attendance to cheer on both the musicians and the Curve -- who won 5-4!
