IASD Charging Policy

Student Meal Charging Guidelines

Elementary School students can continue to charge meals to their account regardless of the balance in their account.  The regular meal choices will continue to be offered to them.  A la Carte items may not be charged.  Parents or guardians will receive a phone notification any day their child’s balance is negative informing them they are responsible to maintain an adequate balance in their child’s account.  Excessive negative balances as determined by the school district will be referred to the Business Office for further collection efforts.

Junior High students can continue to charge meals to their account regardless of the balance in their account.  The regular meal choices will continue to be offered to them.  A la Carte items may not be charged.  Any A la Carte items that is taken by a student that can’t be re-sold will be charged to their account.  Parents or guardians will receive a phone notification any day their child’s balance is negative informing them they are responsible to maintain an adequate balance in their child’s account.  Excessive negative balances as determined by the school district will be referred to the Business Office for further collection efforts.
