Clearances

Employees and volunteers are now required to provide school districts with updated clearance certifications (Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse History Certification, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance*) every five (5) years. When you submit clearances, please keep a copy for your records, as the Human Resources Office will not be responsible for providing you with copies.  New employees will be asked to register with COMPLY (email invitation will be sent to you) in order to help you keep track of when your clearances are due.  Please note that although the Human Resources Office will track clearances, maintaining updated clearances is a condition of employment, and it is up to the employee to be aware of when his/her clearances expire.

*The FBI Fingerprint Clearances is not required for a volunteer as long as the volunteer has been a resident of Pennsylvania for the entirety of the previous ten (10) years and signs an affidavit attesting that they are not disqualified from service based on conviction of offenses that would prohibit such service.
