Indiana Superintendent Honored with 2022 EPLC Leadership Program Alumni Award

Indiana Area School District Superintendent Michael J. Vuckovich was recently named a 2022 EPLC Leadership Program Alumni Award recipient. The (EPLC’s) mission is to encourage and support the development and implementation of effective state-level education policies to improve student learning in grades P-12, increase the effective operation of schools, and enhance educational opportunities for citizens of all ages.

One outreach of the EPLC is the Pennsylvania Education Policy Fellowship Program, which has been sponsored by EPLC since 1999. Mr. Vuckovich is one of nearly 700 graduates of this program, which annually brings together a diverse cohort of professionals from education, human services, government, business, and community organizations. These graduates are all leaders in organizations and programs across the Commonwealth whose work record reflects a concern for issues important to children and education.

The award is given annually by the EPLC to one or more individuals who have participated in an EPLC leadership program, such as the Education Policy Fellowship Program. The honorees are selected based on their exceptional leadership for significant education policy since participating in an EPLC leadership program and also for exceptional service to support the success of EPLC and its leadership programs.
