Indiana Area Senior High School’s Green Bandana Project will be hosting “Light Up the Dark” on Wednesday, October 29 from 6-8 p.m. “Light Up the Dark” is a free, family-friendly event for all IASD students and their families. The evening will include trick-or-treating, games, activities, live characters, and fun Halloween-themed experiences—all while promoting a positive message about mental health.
The Green Bandana Project is a national mental health initiative at both high schools and universities. Students signal to peers that they can connect them to mental health resources and provide support by wearing a green bandana on their backpack. At Indiana Area Senior High, the club focuses on spreading awareness, ending the stigma, and supporting peers through education and community events.
Green Bandana’s mission is to create a safe, memorable night that helps end the stigma surrounding mental health while giving kids a chance to celebrate the spooky season. Stop by IHS for a frighteningly fun night!
