IHS Math Team Places 2nd

The Math Team from Indiana Area High School attended the 37th Annual Benjamin Freed High School Mathematics Competition at PennWest University Clarion on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023. This year's competition was attended by more than 200 students representing several different school districts across the region.   The team is coached by Dr. Scott Layden and is made up of advanced mathematics students from the Senior High. 
 
At this year's competition, Indiana High School took 2nd Place Overall in the Team Category and received individual honors as well.  Ethan Coleman earned the 2nd place overall individual award out of the 200 plus students. Max Julin also placed in the top 10 overall. Indiana plans to attend two more competitions at local universities that will be held throughout the school year.
