Dear Families,
Earlier this evening, while students and staff were at home, a threat was directed toward our Junior High building. It was reported to the Indiana Borough Police Department and we have been made aware that a 39-year-old male has been arrested. At this point, we are confident there is no active threat and we can resume a normal Friday schedule.
Regardless, the Indiana Area Junior High School staff will be on heightened alert and the Borough Police will be present at arrival, dismissal, and throughout the day. We continue to be proud of our partnership and will always be working cooperatively for district-wide safety. The Police Department will be issuing a press statement when their investigative details can be made publicly available.
