Excellence in Education - Student Award

Thanks to the generous support of Colonial Motor Mart Auto Group, the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to introduce an innovative and progressive Excellence in Education program that is seeking to recognize a student every month from each of the county’s school districts. See below for further instructions on how you can submit your worthy student nominee!

Nominees are requested for each month. The monthly nominee demonstrates an exemplary model of Indiana county’s youth in their educational pursuits; school and community engagement; essential workforce skills; as well as personal growth. A student can be nominated more than once, but once selected for the monthly recognition, they cannot be nominated again.

An end-of-year banquet will be held, that will honor each district's monthly nominees recognizing their distinction of excellence. Each nominee and their parents will be the honored guests at this event. At this gala, and from all of the nominees, one student will be selected to receive the grand prize, a vehicle from Colonial Auto Group. The winner will be selected by an independent committee based on the submission from their month’s nomination.

Please pay special attention to a note section that is also provided to express further comments toward the monthly and final committee for review. The monthly nomination form information must remain confidential to ensure and uphold the integrity of the grand prize selection process for selecting a student for the Indiana County Excellence in Education award. This program (car giveaway) is for seniors only and will begin in the month of October.
