Office of the Superintendent

IASD Community:

It is an incredible honor to serve as the Acting Superintendent of Schools. I am humbled by this appointment, and promise to give my absolute best everyday in service to this community and our students.

As long as I am the Acting Superintendent I will continue to have high expectations coupled with unconditional support for students and staff. We will continue working to create the optimal learning environment in each of our schools, so every student can achieve success. Our goals will not change, nor will our approach. We will still keep students at the center of every decision we make. We will not rest until every child can read by the end of grade 3. We will continue to enhance and improve our stem education programs to ensure that students are challenged to become critical thinking, problem solvers of the future. Will continue to expand our Dual Enrollment offerings and partnerships in a commitment to provide college and career pathways that will give Indiana Area students a headstart on life. We will remain committed to developing partnerships with the incredible educators and professionals at IUP to provide our students an opportunity to take advantage of this incredible resource, and to provide the university with the tools they need to ensure their programs thrive and grow. We will remain committed to the principle that all means all, and dedicate our work to ensuring every student feels like they belong in our schools, and empowered to the best versions of themselves. We will continue to ensure that every student and staff member can come to work and learn in the safest environment possible. We will continue to provide the nationally recognized social emotional learning that we have for our students, ensuring that they develop self efficacy and resiliency skills that are critical to success regardless of what career path they choose. And we will continue to keep you informed every step of the way.

I ask that the community continue to partner and support our staff as we continue our work toward these goals. You will not find a better team of educators and professionals than here in the Indiana Area School District, but we are even better when we work together with parents. Together we will deliver on the promise of providing each and every child in Indiana hope and opportunity.
