Congratulations to Scott Herrington, Indiana Area School District’s Teacher of the Year. Mr. Herrington is a Technology Education teacher at the Indiana Area Junior High School. He, along with teachers from around the county, will be celebrated at the 2nd annual Indiana County Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Education Awards program on May 13. One teacher will be selected to win a car from Colonial Motor Mart.
The purpose of the Excellence in Education program is to celebrate excellence in teaching and honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the students of Indiana County. Any parent, community member, student, or educator can nominate a teacher.
This Indiana County READY ™ workforce initiative has also recognized one student per month from each county school district, nominated by teachers, administrators, and school counselors based upon agreed criteria. One of these lucky students will also win a car.
