IASD students compete in FIRST LEGO League Challenge

On Saturday, February 24, the Horace Mann LEGO Legends and the Eisenhower STEAMpunks competed at the FIRST LEGO League Central PA Championship Tournament at Forest Hills Jr./Sr. High. The event was sponsored by Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8.

The goal of the FIRST LEGO League program is to immerse students in research, problem-solving, coding, and engineering curriculum that will engage them in a range of rigorous and relevant learning experiences.

The Indiana Area teams competed against 35 other teams in the Robot Game and Innovation Project presentations, all while demonstrating the LEGO League Core Values. These include respecting each other and accepting differences, discovering new talents and ideas, working creatively and persistently, applying and improving what you have learned, working together, and having fun at work.  The IASD students did an amazing job representing Indiana with pride!
