IHS Drama Dept Presents "It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play"

Indiana Area School District

November 4, 2026

Step back in time to the golden age of radio as the Indiana Area Senior High School Drama Department presents "It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play" by Joe Landry. This production offers a fresh, unique take on a beloved family classic, presenting the popular holiday film It's A Wonderful Life as a live radio broadcast. In this adaptation, individual actors portray multiple characters throughout the story, showcasing their versatility as they bring the residents of Bedford Falls to life.
If you thought the holiday magic starts at the opening of the curtain, think again! Before the mainstage performance, audiences will step into the world of vintage radio with a special preshow. The preshow entertainment begins in the auditorium at 6:30 p.m. each evening with special performances from some of IHS’s most talented musicians. On November 13, enjoy an angelic performance by the IHS Caroling Strings, and on November 14, the IHS Jazz Combo will dazzle the guests with holiday tunes.
Performances are on November 13 and 14 at 7:00 p.m., with doors opening for the preshow at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available online for presale at ihs.booktix.com or in person before the show.
The IHS Drama Department looks forward to sharing this creative interpretation of a timeless holiday story with the community. Join us for an evening of theatrical nostalgia, live performance, and holiday magic as we kick off the holiday season with “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play.” We hope to see you there!
