IJHS DC trip

Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Woodrow and the IJHS Student Council recently spent an unforgettable day exploring Washington, D.C., where history, innovation, and leadership came to life all around them. One of the most magical moments of the day took place at the National Air and Space Museum, where students visited on the very day Artemis II returned from its mission! This was an inspiring and once-in-a-lifetime connection to the future of space exploration.

Throughout the day, students explored the many museums along the National Mall, soaking in both knowledge and sunshine as they walked through the heart of our nation’s capital. They ended their experience with a visit to The People's House, followed by a meaningful walk through Arlington National Cemetery, arriving just in time to witness the powerful and moving Changing of the Guard.

It was a truly special day and one that celebrated leadership, learning, and the importance of connecting classroom experiences to the world beyond it.
