IHS and IASD are INDIANA PROUD to present the next EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION - STUDENT AWARD recipient selected at Indiana Senior High School this 2025-26 school year

Thanks to the generous support of Colonial Motor Mart Auto Group, the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce has introduced an innovative and progressive Excellence in Education program that is seeking to recognize a student every month from each of the county’s school districts
Senior Student candidates are nominated according to their performances in the categories of Academic Performance, School/Community Involvement, Growth, and Essential Skills. A rating scale of 1-4 is used to evaluate the degree to which the student performs in each area
Nominees are identified for each month that demonstrates an exemplary model of Indiana county’s youth in their educational pursuits; school and community engagement; essential workforce skills; as well as personal growth. A Senior Student can be nominated more than once, but once selected for the monthly recognition, they cannot be nominated again
An end-of-year banquet will be held that will honor each district's monthly nominees recognizing their distinction of excellence. Each nominee and their parents will be the honored guests at this event
At this gala, and from all of the nominees, one student will be selected to receive the grand prize, a vehicle from Colonial Auto Group
The winner will be selected by an independent committee based on the submission from their month’s nomination
