OL Geometry-


This year long course in Geometry is intended to be taken after the successful completion of Algebra 1. IDEAL Geometry is a blended course which requires the students to attend two designated class sessions per week at the high school with the instructor. The course includes the following units of study: Foundation of Euclidean Geometry, Geometric Transformations, Angles and Lines, Triangles, Triangle Congruence, Similarity Transformations, Right Triangle Relationships and Trigonometry, Quadrilaterals and Coordinate Algebra, Circles, Conic Sections, Geometric Modeling in Two and Three Dimensions, and Applications of Probability. Following the completion of this course students will typically enroll in Algebra 2.

OL Algebra 1-


This year long course in Algebra lays the mathematical foundation for all subsequent courses in the mathematics curriculum. IDEAL Algebra 1 is a blended course which requires the students to attend two designated class sessions per week at the high school with the instructor. The course includes the following units of study: Representing Relationships, Linear Functions, Linear Equations and Inequalities, Systems of Equations and Inequalities, Nonlinear Functions, Exponential Functions, Polynomial Expressions, Quadratic Functions, Quadratic Equations, Radical Functions, Rules of Probability, and Data Analysis. Students will be required to take the Keystone Algebra Exam towards the end of the course. Students must achieve at least proficiency on this exam in order to satisfy their graduation requirements. Following the completion of this course students will typically enroll in Geometry.
