Study Skills and Personal Finance
This
course is divided into two components.
The first segment of the class covers techniques students can use to
improve their note taking skills and study habits. It stresses making wise choices, setting goals, and being
accountable.
During
the next component, students apply these study strategies while covering topics
in personal finance.
It takes effort
on the student’s part to apply what is presented and discussed during
class!

necessary materials to class--You will need a folder and a notebook
for this class

No
food or drinks in room. Do not leave
papers or other materials at your desk when you leave! Push in chairs when you leave
·
Stay
in seats until end of the period
·
Demonstrate
respect and responsibility
·
Computers
should be used for valid school assignments only
·
Complete
make-up work within one week Partial
(half) credit if late.
·
Ask
questions and seek help as needed
·
Remain
quiet in hall/outside during a fire drill and stay with teacher
·
Participate
in class and have a great semester!!
·
In-class
assignments (Individual and group work).
Homework is RARELY assigned.
·
Work
that is more than one week late is eligible for 50% credit only.
·
Tests
and quizzes.
·
Projects
and presentations.
Grading
scale: A=93% B=85% C=77% D=69%
