Meet Mrs. Barbor

Mrs. Barbor earned her B. S. in Communications/Secondary Education with an emphasis in speech and theater from Slippery Rock University in 1978. She studied dance at Point Park College and completed her student teaching in speech and theater at Bethel Park High School. Following  graduation, the Indiana Area School District hired her to teach English.  In 1985 she earned a Master of Arts in English Literature from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  Since that time she  has earned an additional 42 credits beyond her Master's.  Besides teaching, Mrs. Barbor is the senior high's drama coordinator and resident choreographer.

Mrs. Barbor lives with her husband, John.  Their daughter Katie is a freshman at Smith College in Northampton, Mass. Their son, Peter, is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. and is currently an artist in residence at the Worcester Center for the Crafts in Worcester, Massachusetts.  The Barbors share their household with one very "bad", and one very "good" cat. In her spare time Mrs. Barbor enjoys the outdoors, gardening, and community theater.   The Barbors are all retired Black Belts from Young Brothers Taekwondo in Indiana.
