Kindergarten registration for the Indiana Area School District will take place the week of April 22-26, 2013 according to the schedule below. Registration is by appointment only this year. You must call your child’s school to schedule an appointment to register your child for Kindergarten. are reminded to bring the child, the child’s immunization records,
proof of the child's age (such as the child’s birth certificate), and proof of residence (such as a
driver’s license or voter's registration card) to registration. To enter kindergarten, children
must be five (5) years of age on or before August
31, 2013. No
exceptions. Please allow
approximately an hour for the registration process.
Speech and readiness screenings will take place at this time. Vision
screenings will be conducted in September 2013 for all kindergarten
students. Registration packets should be available in school offices on March 1, 2013, for parents who would like to complete the paperwork in advance. Please contact your school after that date to check on availability. Area School District will offer a Parent Orientation for parents
of any student who will begin kindergarten in the district in the
2013-2014 school year.
This orientation will be held at your child's school on Thursday, May
2, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. The
purpose of this orientation will be to provide information on the
following topics: This program is specifically designed for adults. All incoming kindergarten students will be invited to attend an Open House in August at their school. HOME
