Course Description:
This one-semester elective course is designed to introduce students to Windows environment. In addition, Microsoft Office professional (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Explorer will be incorporated. This course is open to all students who have successfully completed the Computerized Keyboarding course or have passed the Computer Applications Prerequisite Test. This course is recommended for all students. This course will serve as a (.5) credit for the graduation requirements for the computer technology credit.

Standard of Evaluation:
Students will be graded on class work, assignments, and projects. The marking system for this course is based the IASD grading scale.

Computer Applications is a very useful skill. Students are expected to apply themselves daily to establish good work habits. These good habits will contribute to learning to use the software with confidence.
