Computerized Keyboarding

Technique Grade

Mrs. Brocious/Mrs. Haney

 

 

In order to develop proper typing techniques, students will be graded on keyboarding technique weekly.  Students should work to maintain proper technique every day in order to fulfill the “touch” method technique requirement.  Students will become more efficient by paying attention to proper technique and concentrating on daily lessons.  Points will be compiled weekly.  Remember:  Perfect practice makes perfect!

 

Evaluation

 

Ten (10) points may be earned each week. Two points (2) for each of the following technique cues:

 

·              Keyboard Covers On

·              Proper Posture  (Feet Flat/Wrists Up/Back Supported with Chair)

·              Hands on Home Row

·              Eyes on Copy (Screen/Textbook/Writing)

·              Proper Reaches (Use Correct Fingers to Strike Keys—Touch Method)
